There are two Club rides today; namely:

No 1:  Touring Route.  Meet at 8am for an 8.30am departure from Morgan & Wacker, Ross Street, Newstead.

Route details will be included on this site when finalised by the ride leader.

The Ride Leader is Richard Maher whose contact details are:  Mob Ph No 0415 111454 or email - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

No 2:  G.S. Adventure Route.

Start: 9.30am at the Kilcoy bakery (18 William St, Kilcoy), it's opposite the pub.

Intended Route: We'll run north from our 9.30am START (that's correct not arrive and have a coffee - but fuelled up and ready to go!!) via Monsildale Rd, up along the range before turning west and running towards Nanango.  Some will opt to tar it from here into Nanango and some will come on the dirt to Nanango (fuel if needed) via the Linville and then Bull Camp Roads. Then through some more back-roads to Blackbutt for lunch. After lunch we head south on some lovely deco-granite roads through Anduramba and then loop around into Toogoolawah before shooting across through Gregors Ck Rd to Kilcoy. (I will be check-riding the entire route again this Saturday).

Distance: Approx 300km (180 km before lunch, 110 km after lunch)

Bikes: Suitable for any GS or off-road BMW (or other off-road bike).

You will need off-road tyres and I prefer knobbies myself.

General: We are now looking like having a large crew with a range of different skill levels and riding a wide range of bikes. I'll try and cater for everyone but the reality is that this is very difficult. The best I can do is that in a couple of places I'll probably have an easier (tar) option (keep in mind that I think it's all easy, no fire trail stuff here) for those that want a break.

I am also toying with running 2 groups since I have 2 sweeps (Dave Mifsud and Murray) and Ross has offered to lead the 2nd group if needed (Ross and his son are test riding the route with me Saturday) so that may be the most sensible option. I'll discuss with Murray after Ross and I do this revised run on Saturday.

I will make any other changes to this "on the fly" if needed. __________________________________________________________________

Cheers Dave
