Monthly Club Touring Ride is set!!! Meet at 8am at BP Blacksoil for 8.30 sharp departure
The Sept 5 Club Ride is also Father's Day, so not too long on the road.
300km - 350km tops round trip: Blacksoil to Blacksoil or Rosewood.
Please fuel at Blacksoil prior to departure.
**If your bike's fuel range is less that 350km, please let us
know at departure point as we will be able to schedule a refuel.
We won't be too far from the main highways and fuel.
Otherwise there is NO fuel stops planned on the route proper
as no outlets we pass are open on a Sunday.
We will be heading west with a coffee stop only about an hour
into the ride at Forrest Hill, so no need to caffeine load before
departure. Plenty for the sweet tooth and the coffee was great
and reasonably priced. Lunch is a choice of burgers or meal menu
and most meals look to be under $13 so once again,
good value in Clifton.
The route is all bitumen with some narrow slightly
challenging twisties, some open curvy bits, lots of elevation
up and down and even a few bits where you can just cruise for a while. It's even an interesting ride home. All up, a bit of everything except dirt and we have eliminated crossing the busy Warrego Highway near Forrest Hill.
Lady riders and pillions, keep a pannier free as there are lots
of knick knacks for those so inclined to purchase at both stops.
We also look forward to the possibility of some of our Darling Downs
riders joining us as all the ride is within easy reach (1 hour)
of Toowoomba.
The only item I can't be sure of is eftpos / credit card facilities.
Keep checking the forum for updates if this is important.
See you there.
