BMWMCQ Breakfast and Touring Ride - Sunday 12/9/2010

Ride to Toowoomba one week prior to the world famous 'Carnival of Flowers'. Come and smell the roses!
BREAKFAST at 'The Angel Cafe', TOOWOOMBA
('The Angel Cafe' is the popular monthly coffee night venue for the BMWMCQ Toowoomba based Darling Downs Ride Group.)
It's on Again! This well attended early morning breakfast ride to Toowoomba was last held on Sunday 3/6/2007.
WHEN: Sunday 12/9/2010 - This ride is on come rain, hail, snow or sunshine.
DEPART LOCATION: B.P Service Station, Warrego Highway, Blacksoil (located westbound just before the Brisbane Valley Highway turnoff to Esk).
START TIME: Meet at 6 am (0600 hours) for a 6.15 am (0615 hours) departure. (Don't forget the wet weather gear .. just in case .. remember 2007!!)
ROUTE to TOOWOOMBA: You will enjoy the cool relaxed ride to Toowoomba via the Warrego Highway to Gatton, the old highway from Gatton through Grantham to Helidon and then back onto the Warrego Highway and up the range into Toowoomba. We will stay off the back roads at this time of morning; with the intention of avoiding the wild life!

GARDEN TOUR OF TOOWOOMBA: After breakfast the group will be lead on a tour of the beautiful parks, gardens and other scenic locations of the Toowoomba area by Cameron Smith; a member of the Darling Downs Ride Group.
RETURN ROUTE TO BRISBANE: After the Toowoomba tour the return trip will be the very scenic route out of Toowoomba via the New England Highway through Highfields east towards Crows Nest to Hampton; and then via Ravensbourne National Park to Esk and on to Somerset Dam for a brief stop and possibly coffee; and then the back road behind Wivenhoe Dam to Fernvale; with lunch at Fernvale; where the organised ride will finish.

The entire scenic route is on sealed roads. New BMWMCQ members are encouraged to attend as this will be a very social event with a relaxed ride through magnificent country.

However if you forget to RSVP don't dispair; just turn up at Blacksoil. Members not joining the ride from Blacksoil can meet the main group at The Angel Cafe, Toowoomba at approximately 0745 hours.
